The Friends of the Dover Library is pleased to announce that Natick artist Holly Lombardo will be Artist of the Month for July. Her acrylic works feature trees, shadows, snow, light and flowers. Come and Explore the Stargazers Garden ~ just outside the Children's department on the lower level of the Library!

We hope you will take a few moments to 'stop and smell the flowers."

We have chosen plants that will encourage birds and butterflies to visit our library, but you may also notice another theme emerging once you read the plant names...!

Explore the Solar System on Foot!

This summer you can walk around town and the library and explore a scaled down version of the solar system. Find each planet and learn interesting things about space. You can pick up a Map at either the Adult or Children's department circulation desk!

 

Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston

The Dover Library has just received passes to the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston. Beginning in April 2009, 30 passes per month will be available allowing 2 people general admission at a discounted rate.  The ICA is always free to Children 17 and under. Please call 508-785-8113 to reserve a pass to this wonderful museum. 

Food Pantry Donation Program

Need a new library card? Donate a non-perishable item and receive a free library card replacement or simply bring in non-perishable items to the Library. All food donations will be given to a local food pantry. For further information, contact the Adult Circulation Desk @ 508-785-8113.

Drop by any Thursday afternoon from 2 pm until 4:30 pm and enjoy Tea in the Library Reading Room on the upstairs level.

DOVER'S COOKING!

Over the last number of months, many of you have shared with us stories of your favorite recipes and foods you enjoy cooking together as a family. Many of you have also recently baked simply wonderful goodies for our Thursday Afternoon Tea.

We now invite you to share these recipes and foods with the rest of community!
