Driving Directions
Route 128 (North or South)
- From Route 128, take exit 16B (Route 109 Westwood).
- Take Route 109 through one traffic light.
- At the next right (about 1/4 mile), turn right onto Summer Street for about one mile.
- At the stop sign (opposite the Dedham Country Club), turn left onto Westfield Street and go approximately 1 mile to the next stop sign.
- Turn left onto Dedham Street and go about 2 miles to the next stop sign.
- The library is to your right -- a large brick building with four chimneys.
- The entrance is in front of the library.
- Parking is available at the lower level and behind the library.
From Wellesley
- Take Route 135 towards Needham.
- At the intersection of Route 135 and Central Avenue (near the Presbyterian Church with the bell tower), take a right onto Central Avenue and follow for approximately 3 miles.
- You will pass the Needham Transfer Station and the Walker School and travel over the Charles River and over a railroad bridge.
- When you see a monument with an eagle on it, look immediately to your right to find the library.
- If you get to Dover Center and the traffic light you have gone too far. Turn around and go back 1/4 mile and the library will be on your left.
- Entrance is in front of the library.
- Parking is at the lower level and behind the library.
From Route 109 in Westwood
- Take Hartford Street from Route 109 (opposite Mobil station).
- Follow Hartford to a 4-way stop.
- Bear right onto Walpole Street and follow to the traffic light in Dover Center.
- Turn right at the traffic light and go 1/4 mile.
- Library is on your left
- Entrance is in front of the library.
- Parking is at the lower level and behind the library.
From Route 109 Medfield
- Take North Street and follow it out of Medfield Square.
- Bear right to Dover (becomes Centre Street) and follow to the traffic light in Dover center (about 4 miles).
- Go straight through the traffic light and travel 1/4 mile.
- Look to your left when you see a monument with an eagle on top.
- Entrance is in front of the library.
- Parking is at the lower level and behind the library.
